Adventure

SURF

South Lombok is a swell amusement park with many quality reef passes, reef points and beach breaks sprinkled accross its dramatic coastline. Every single day of the year at least a couple of breaks within 15 minutes of our resort will offer the perfect conditions for people of any surfing experience. The closest example, Selong Belanak beach, offers a daily small wave for learners, and an advanced left handed wave if you paddle out for 4 minutes. We know all the breaks very well, so don't hesitate to ask us if you'd like some recommendations or advice.

DIVE & SNORKEL

As part of the coral triangle - the world's most biodiverse marine area - Indonesia is one of the best diving destinations in the world. Lombok in particular presents incredible coral reefs in a very accessible way to any diver. During our day trips, the most popular encounters are the mantas and hammer heads, but you can see all kinds of reef sharks and every kind of macro critter you can imagine! This coastline offers not only drift dives but also relaxed muck or reef dives in closed bays for any kind of diving experience.

SUP & KAYAK

If you're a paddler, SUP tourer, kayaker or even SUP surfer, you'll love how South Lombok breaks out from the Indian Ocean with natural green hills and its easy access beaches for easy water entry. For the windy days that we rarely get, we find large closed bays and even mangrove routes to explore - some of which are yet to be discovered! At the moment, we're looking for paddlers who want to SUP in Mt. Rinjani's lake at 2000m elevation... please reach out if you are interested!

MOTORBIKES

Lombok hosts the Indonesian Grand Prix and the World Superbike Series. We are a moto-friendly island with a strong passion for two-wheelers. Our area offers incredible day adventures like the crossing from Belongas to the secret Gilis (as pictured). All of the stunning scenery can be explored on off-road moto-friendly paths for the motocross lovers (we even have a new motocross circuit 15 minutes away). We can sort out bikes, organise escapes and advise routes to satisfy all of your expectations.

BEACH

From Pink Beach, where you can snorkel with baby sharks, to Desert Point, with its world class surf break, the South Lombok coasline is one of the most unexploited and diverse in all of Indonesia. We chose Selong Belanak for the gorgeous bay and its white sand, but we're still not tired of visiting other bays like Tanjun Aan, Mekaki Beach, Ekkas and its cliffs in the sand, or Belongas, where you can swim among mangroves! There are many small beaches with secret access all over the area. You'll need a lot of time to visit them all!

YOGA

Yoga is becoming more and more popular in Lombok. The natural elevation between beaches offers an astonishing playground for yoga enthusiasts, with many business who focus on sustainability and harmony with nature. These unique locations combined with the healthy and peaceful way of living in both the local and expat communities make South Lombok a wonderful destination for your yoga experience. There are destinations for retreats, group sessions, and solo travellers who want to feel included in a community or share and develop their skills.

TREKKING

Lombok is full of mountains ranges, untouched jungle, green valleys, waterfalls, rivers, and of course the natural park around Mt. Rinjani, with its summit at 3726m. There are trekking options for any level. You could try out the forested paths around Sembalun or Tetebatu, or the numerous jungle routes to the waterfalls spread out across the island. In the south, you can find untouched mountain walks with dramatic ocean and valley views. The abundant vegetation and varied elevation makes for a unique, cool, and refreshing trekking spot.

WATERFALLS

If any guest manages to visit every waterfall in Lombok, we'll give you your last night in the hotel for free. Not only on the slopes of Mt Rinjani, but throughout the mountain range in the south west are any number of breathtaking waterfalls (the closest to us is 20 minutes away by car). Some of them have very easy access by car or scooter, but others are more hidden, and will require some walking around the jungle. You'll always be able to find the perfect waterfall to match your mood!

SASAK

Lombok is home to Sasak people and culture. Life here revolves around farming and weaving. Sasak culture is laidback and the villages are known for their lack of modern technology. You can see traditional motifs on locally made pottery and in fasion here. Some towns around are also specialised in crafting and trade, such as Ende and Sade, which are just 30 minutes away from us.
